Black and Brown Folx as the Focal Point of Healing

Rebecca and Shea are doing this work because it’s what’s right. Both of our co-founders work full-time in other spaces to fund and support artic’s development and mission. If our mission resonates with you and you’re looking to add your support, any donation amount is welcomed with gratitude. You can choose where your funds go: we have a scholarship fund created to support future BIPOC healers, and a Reparations Fund that allows us to afford to keep going.

About the BIPOC Healers Fund

White, patriarchal capitalism keeps out so many future healers through monetizing basic access. Not only is school wildly expensive, but it doesn’t include continuing education costs, exam fees, the cost of supervision, etc. These fees, and more can make the difference between constituents accessing healers who look like them, and not.

About The Reparations Fund

Capitalism is terrible. We’re seeing this first hand. In our first year of operation, what we’ve learned is that smaller orgs, the orgs that really deeply desire to do the work, end up getting shut out because of smaller budgets. While we want to give everything we can to those orgs (and often do lower our rates, offer discounts, etc.), we end up in an impossible situation at times. We simply must get paid for the labor we put in. Particularly, Rebecca, as a Black and Indigenous woman, must get paid for this work. Capitalism doesn’t allow for that to happen AND for everyone’s needs to get met. This is where you come in. All of your donations in this fund go to supporting us in continuing to create this work. It funds the time and labor we put into building webinars, writing blog articles, creating new content, podcasting, covering the costs of providing our workshops to smaller organizations with smaller budgets, and more. Without your contributions, this work wouldn’t be possible.
